Engagement Rings to Wedding Rings

We wore each other's wedding bands as necklaces while we were engaged. Daniel wore Michael's ring, while Michael wore Daniel's ring. It was our way of saying to each other, "I love you, I am responsible for you, I will care for you, and I will keep this ring safe over my heart until I finally can give it to you on our wedding day".

How to Make Necklaces

1. Make a sliding knot necklace *

2. Use a cat's paw knot to tie the ring into the necklace **

*We recommend using a thick, round boot lace. After you've made the sliding knot necklace, the knots should be fairly easy to adjust with this material. Other kinds of strings such as flat shoelaces, leather strings, etc. tend to get stuck easily. 

**Be sure to tie the ring into the middle of the front part of the necklace so you can adjust the length of the necklace evenly.
